“Meeting Hate with Humanity” Project The JCY and Gorton High School cooperated in developing a program for 10th and 11th graders to promote ethnic and religious understanding and respect after painted swastikas were found in restrooms at the school. Beth Quinn, its creator, and a Gorton High School Teacher, received the Ann Frank Award for this program. Assemblies, including speakers and panel discussions, Wings of Witness, presentations by Holocaust survivors, and the Wiesenthal Art Contest have comprised this program.
